The objective of the Owen J. Roberts Education Foundation is to ensure the highest level of educational innovation supporting students, faculty and staff with community involvement in a partnership of lifetime learning. Through community support and involvement, the Foundation works to enhance the Owen J. Roberts School District’s potential to become a world class school district by helping bring innovative programs to the classroom that will afford our students the skills and tools necessary to compete in the ever-changing, fast paced global environment.

The Foundation is a public charity, 501(c)(3) organization, independent of the Owen J. Roberts School District, dedicated to encouraging community-wide participation and alumni participation and philanthropy in order to enhance and expand enrichment opportunities for all students attending the public elementary, middle and high schools comprising the Owen J. Roberts School District. The vision of the Foundation is to ensure long-range financial flexibility to provide resources for specific needs within the Owen J. Roberts School District under the direction of its Board of Directors.

The Owen J. Roberts Education Foundation operates independently from the district, but is determined to support the educational goals of the district and all of the schools within it.

OUR GOAL is to encourage excellence among students and faculty by providing funding for activities that are innovative in nature and compliment the basic classroom educational experience. Won’t you please support this important goal?

Chili Cook-Off:
Each year, regional restaurants come together to compete and the community comes out to enjoy a lively evening of camaraderie for a great cause– the students of OJR! Our annual Chili Cook-Off is our largest single fundraiser and, beyond raising capital for operating expenses, accomplishes several other goals including bringing the people in this spread out community together!

District TV Studio:
The Owen J. Roberts’ TV Studio project is an exciting venture for OJREF, district students and the extended community. Wildcat TV went live in East Vincent and South Coventry in 2008. Broadcasting through Comcast via the township’s dedicated local education channels, Wildcat TV provides district residents with original student programming, broadcasts of district events and community service announcements and programs.
Classroom Mini Grants:
Classroom Mini-Grants fund dynamic and innovative ideas for education in the classroom. Teachers and administrators submit their ideas to OJREF through a grant application and receive funding if approved. Applications are accepted for consideration annually in the spring for the implementation the following school year.
