A Choral Celebration with Rollo Dilworth
The purpose of this grant is to expose district high school and middle school choral students during Black History Month to the musical brilliance of renowned African American composer of international acclaim, Rollo Dilworth, with purposes of choral/vocal education, musical education, historical education, and cultural education that will culminate with a grand and gala evening concert open to all of the OJR Community.
Powerful Learning Practices for the 21st Century Student
Digital cameras, Flip Video Cameras, headsets and microphones were purchased for each of the seven district buildings. The Powerful Learning Practice (PLP) team’s goal is to provide the knowledge and resources necessary to allow teachers to present instruction that engages students in experiences that expose them to a variety of 21st century technology skills. This equipment will be introduced and utilized in the professional development in the current and future school years.
