OJR Middle School WiredCats Robotics Team Will Compete for National Championship

On Saturday, January 28th at the PENN FIRST LEGO LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP held at the University of Pennsylvania, the OJR MS WiredCats Team took 2nd Place overall in the competition. They will compete at the National Competition in Florida in May.

The OJR MS Wildcats Team won the First Place Teamwork Award. Chris Bove, a member of the OJR HS Robotics Team won the Mentoring Award. Quite a day for OJR! Fifty two teams competed in the event.

Mr. Justin Giannone is the team coach for both MS Teams.

Meridian Bank Donates Five Thousand Dollars to the Owen J. Roberts Education Foundation through the PA EITC Program

Erwin Wenner, SVP Commercial Lending of Meridian Bank presented a five thousand dollar ($5000) check to Dr. Kathleen M. Hocker, Executive Director, Owen J. Roberts Education Foundation and Dr. Kathryn Soeder, Acting Superintendent of the Owen J. Roberts School District.

According to Dr. Hocker, “the Education Foundation will continue to work with the district to identify innovative programs that will be supported by EITC funds.”

Fulton Bank Contributes $4,000 to Owen J. Roberts Education Foundation through the PA EITC Program

Betsy Niedziejko, Fulton Bank representative presented the four thousand dollar ($4,000) check to Dr. Kathryn Soeder, Acting Superintendent and Dr. Kathleen Hocker, Executive Director of the Owen J. Roberts Education Foundation. Fulton Bank is headquartered in Lancaster PA with branches throughout Pennsylvania as well as Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia.
